Where can I download retro games for free?
You do not need to download retro games at all with RetroGo. All games are playable directly in your browser — no ROM files, no torrent downloads, no emulator software to install. Just open a game page and start playing instantly.
Is RetroGo legit and safe to use?
Yes. RetroGo is a legitimate retro gaming preservation project. We respond promptly to all valid DMCA takedown requests and maintain a clear DMCA Policy.
Are these emulator games free to play?
Yes. Every retro arcade, console, and handheld game on RetroGo is 100% free to play directly inside your web browser — no account required to play, no downloads, and no hidden paywalls.
Do I need to install anything to play?
No. RetroGo uses HTML5 and WebAssembly emulation that runs natively in modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, mobile Safari, Chrome for Android).
Which platforms and systems are supported?
NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, Master System, Game Gear, Saturn, PlayStation 1 (PSX), PSP, and classic arcade boards (MAME, FBNeo, Neo Geo, CPS, Naomi).
Can I save my game progress?
Yes. Every game page has a built-in web player with on-screen controls. Click the cloud icon in the control bar to download your save state to your device.
Do you support mobile devices, touchscreens, and gamepads?
Yes. The player automatically detects touch input on iOS and Android and shows virtual on-screen buttons. USB and Bluetooth controllers are supported via the standard Gamepad API.
How do I "Insert Coin" when playing classic arcade games?
The Insert Coin action is mapped to the Select button. On a keyboard that is usually the Shift key or the Spacebar; on mobile it is the Select / Back virtual button.
Can I create a free account? What does it unlock?
Yes — registration is free. An account unlocks liking / disliking games, comments, save profiles, and the player leaderboard. None of this is required to play.
Is RetroGo legal? Are the ROMs copyrighted?
RetroGo is a preservation / hobbyist archive. ROM files are loaded from publicly available sources and remain the property of their original rights holders. We respond promptly to valid DMCA notices.
